When I was approached to rejuvenate the brand identity of the Mt. Kilimanjaro Monkey Reserve, I knew it was a chance to blend my passion for design with conservation. This sanctuary, nestled at the base of Africa's towering peak, is not just a home to diverse primate species; it's a testament to the beauty of wild Africa and the importance of preserving it.
design approach
I decided on a color scheme of rich, dark greens to reflect the lush, vibrant ecosystems of the reserve—a symbol of life and the sanctuary's thriving habitats. Selecting vivid photographs of the monkeys and their environment was crucial; I wanted each image to tell a story, to forge a connection between the viewer and the animal, inviting them into this world.

The rebranding journey for the Mt. Kilimanjaro Monkey Reserve was as enriching for me as I hope it will be for the reserve. The new brand identity, with its deep greens and engaging imagery, not only highlights the reserve's commitment to safeguarding biodiversity but also beckons adventurers and conservation enthusiasts worldwide. Through this work, I aimed to illuminate the reserve's mission, offering a gateway to explore, understand, and protect the natural world. This project was a reminder of the power of design to inspire action and foster a deeper connection with our planet.
